Frequently Asked Questions
Dept. of Skin is a clinical-meets-creative skincare studio in Azusa, CA. Think of it as a test kitchen for skin: advanced modalities, K-Beauty inspired innovation, and a vibe that’s more utilitarian and raw than fluffy spa. We combine hydro-diamond facials, oxygen infusion, LED therapy, radiofrequency, and Korean skincare science with a tailored “case file” system that makes your skin plan feel precise, not cookie-cutter.
Instead of choosing from a confusing service menu, you’re assigned a Case File (there are 15 total) based on your skin type and goals. New clients fill out the “Find Your Case” intake first. Returning clients simply rebook their Case File treatment. Your file evolves as your skin does.
Click “Find Your Case” on our booking page. Answer a short questionnaire → get matched with your Case File → book the corresponding treatment. That way, you start with a plan that actually makes sense for your skin.
Use the “Returning Guests – Book Your Case File” button. No need to retake the intake unless your skin has drastically changed. We’ll also ask follow-up questions at each visit to keep your case file updated.

- Clinical + Holistic: advanced modalities balanced with barrier repair, hydration, and lifestyle-driven skincare.
Yes, but strategically. Extractions are done with precision tools (hydro-diamond tips or glass tube vacuum) and only if your skin is ready. We don’t believe in aggressive, face-wrecking extractions.
Not yet—but we host workshops, pop-ups, and case study programs. Soon, we’ll roll out tiered memberships and event-based offers.
